Tellmate terms
Last updated 30 October 2026.
These are the rules for using Tellmate, a shared class calendar by BeeBoyD. They are short on purpose. Questions:
This is a demo for the High School Innovation Challenge, not yet open to real classes.
The app
One calendar for a class. Anyone in the class posts a test, homework or project the teacher announced, the AI reads the post, and the class settles the day together. It has no ads. You need an account to join a class.
The AI
The AI that reads posts is Claude, by Anthropic. Every read costs us money, so the AI is not free to run.
In this demo it is free for you. Later, reads above a free amount each month, and some extra features, will cost money. The app will tell you before anything costs money, and you choose whether to pay.
Who can have an account
From 16 you can make an account on your own. Before real classes use Tellmate, students from 13 to 15 will need a parent's agreement, and there is no account under 13. One account is for one person; keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-step sign-in if you can.
What you post
What you post is seen by everyone in your class. Post only what a teacher announced for the class. If you close your account, events you posted stay in the class, without your name. A class's admins can remove posts and members, and anyone in the class can report a post.
Please don't
- Post someone's phone number, address or anything else about them, or anything mean, rude or untrue.
- Try to get into someone else's account, class or data.
- Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to send spam.
- Use it for anything illegal.
If someone does, we may remove what they posted and close their account.
What we can't promise
- The AI can misread a post. It picks out the kind, the subject and the day, and the class confirms them. Your teacher decides when a test really is: check anything important with them.
- The demo runs on free services, so it can sometimes be slow or unavailable, and we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong.
- The app is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using it, such as a reminder that didn't arrive. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using the app and close your account at any time, on your account page (tap your name at the top of Settings). We may close the service, with at least 30 days' notice in the app and time to download your data.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will tell you before they apply.
Law
Romanian law applies, together with any consumer rights of the country you live in.
